Economic forecasts

On Budget day, the Chancellor highlighted improved OBR forecasts, with growth rising to 1.5% this year and steady at 1.4–1.5% in the years ahead. Inflation is also set to fall faster, dropping to 3.5% this year and 2.5% in 2026.

Personal finance

Frozen tax thresholds, ISA reforms and a higher National Living Wage headline this year’s personal finance measures. Pension protections and benefit increases also shape the outlook for households.

Business Measures

The Chancellor delivered a strong message to businesses – “If you build here, Britain will back you.” Measures include new UK Listing Relief, visa reforms, £5bn BBB investment, expanded EMI eligibility, lower business rates, and £1.5bn for skills and apprenticeships.

Other key points

The Budget boosts investment across public services and communities: £1.3bn for housing delivery, major planning reforms, new infrastructure projects, expanded breakfast clubs, upgraded NHS centres and digital tech, plus key welfare and duty changes.
